Lighted Tennis Courts

Stonebridge Ranch offers eight (8) lighted tennis courts located within the Beach and Tennis Club, open to residents and their guests only. A Stonebridge Ranch resident ID card is required. Residents may have up to three (3) guests and have the use of one (1) court for a period of one (1) hour.  Court time may be extended if other residents are not waiting.  The courts are available on an unreserved first come, first play basis from dawn to 10:00 p.m.  From Memorial Day to Labor Day, court hours are extended until 11:00 p.m.  Tennis courts are not to be used for any other activities other than tennis. Lessons not authorized by the Association are prohibited.

The Stonebridge Ranch Community Association  is pleased to announce that 10 & Under blended lines have been installed at the Beach & Tennis Club on all eight tennis courts. The Association received a line grant from the United States Tennis Association which covers a large portion of the project costs.

Why were the blended lines added? In 2012, the Rules of Tennis changed for only the fifth time in the history of the sport. The change specifies that 10-and-under tennis competitions can only be played on a 36-foot or 60-foot court using smaller racquets and with tennis balls that bounce lower and do not travel through the air so fast. Tennis is no longer asking children to play an adult-model sport. Blended lines are becoming the industry standard and are now being installed at tennis facilities throughout the country.   Smaller courts are easier for children to cover and are even becoming popular with senior  tennis players with limited mobility.
